"Shall I prepare a warm drink as we speak? The story's gonna be quite long... So, what'll you be having? Coffee or tea?"

The Basics

Name: "The name's Rhun’a Xehrqi-Argentte. 'Rhun'a Xehrqi' is the given name from my mother, while the surname 'Argentte' is taken from my husband, Lloyd, when we got married."Race: "As you can see from my name and appearance, I'm a Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te. I was born as the eldest son from my family, the Xehrqis, and was raised in Gridania. It's home to the largest population of Keepers in Eorzea."Age: "I'm 27 summers old this year. I like to think that as we get older, we get wiser. Remembering how wild I used to be back in my younger days, sometimes it makes me feel old already."Nameday: "Ah, it's 10th Sun of the 6th Umbral Moon. At this age getting a gift on your nameday isn't something that's happening frequently. With each passing year I just feel thankful that I got to spend another year. But of course, a gift would be highly appreciated, yes?"Relationship status: "I'm married. Been quite a while now, and I'm happy with it. To be blessed with a wonderful husband and son is something I have never expected before."Familial relations:
"Let me introduce to you my husband and son."

• Husband: Lloyd Argentte
• Son (Adopted): Nhagi'to Zhaka-Argentte
"And this is my family. I was raised by my mom, alongside my two little sisters. I visit them every once in a while in Gridania, to send money and check in on my sisters."Gender and sexual preferences: "I was a ladies' man who just happened to fall in love with a man. If you've known me 5 years ago, you would know that I used to be damn weak to gorgeous ladies before I met Lloyd—and honestly, I still am—I just love Lloyd very much and have never taken an interest in another man after him."Occupation: "My job is... managing OydRhun Studio together with Lloyd for a living, alongside with being a househusband who manages the household. Oh, yes, our private company also manages a coffee shop and a jazz bar. Do come visit if you happen to be around, I promise it'll be worth your while."

Nationality and Residence: "Even though I've moved from place to place, I'm still a Gridanian at heart. Currently, I live in Empyreum, the new residential district of Ishgard together with my family. The climate here is on the colder side, but I like the serenity ever since Ser Aymeric takes the lead of the House of Lords."Languages and Proficiency:
• Eorzean Common Tongue: Native
• Ishgardian: Fluent
• Hingan: Conversational
Hobbies: "Believe it or not my hobby used to be courting ladies here and there. Now that I've gotten older and settled down, I've picked up calmer hobbies that I enjoy doing. Such as still life painting and flower arranging."Likes: "Having freedom is a nice thing, which I always strive for. I also love spending time with my family, gathering and chatting with good friends, and close-knitted social events. Trying new things is also something I do regularly because it keeps me inspired. Aside from that, sporty outfits are my thing, exercising is great, and delicious food. I mean, who doesn't love delicious food?"Dislikes: "I am not a fan of being tied down or suffocated either physically or mentally, as I enjoy having freedom. The other thing I absolutely dislike is being powerless, that's why I always strive for having power. Untrustworthiness in others also turns me off, not to mention abusive and exploitative behavior."Strengths: "My closest ones tell me that I'm a caring person and that I make them feel comfortable around me. I like to think that I try my best to do so, as the least thing that I want is to see my loved ones and friends feeling uncomfortable. To my family, it is only natural that I have the obligation to protect them with everything I got."Weaknesses: "I've been told that my pride would be my downfall, and I can agree with that. Though I do try my best to limit that from showing too much, because ironically, it's a trait I'm not particularly proud of. Aside from that, I find myself to be highly competitive... For some reason it seems to be a recurring trait in male Miqo'te."

Lore

"Hold on to my word, for I shall never betray it. Gallantry and integrity are two things most important to a man, as I believe and hold steadfast to my principles."

Son of the Twelveswood
Rhun'a was born and raised in a typical Keeper of the Moon family from Gridania, that consists of a mother and two little sisters. During his childhood, Rhun'a was taught to wield a bow by his mother who is a proficient archer. With the connections of his mother, he started out early at the Gridanian Archers' Guild, learned a lot of things about archery and hunting, and surviving in Twelveswood in general. As the only male in his family, Rhun'a was driven by the desire to protect his mother and sisters, so he eagerly learned everything that he could. He did not have a lot of friends back in his hometown due to the other children find his heterochromatic eyes weird, resulting in him giving a lot of focus in his combat ability early. Fortunately, his little sister Rehl was his good friend.
The Departure to the Jewel in the Desert
When Rhun’a turns sixteen, he decided that he would help his mother raise his little sisters, and left their home in order to make a fortune. Equipped with a bow and a loaded quiver, he traveled by airship to the hustling and bustling city of Ul'dah, in hopes of getting better opportunities for him and his family. Eventually, Rhun'a started out his career working as a general helper in The Coliseum. Through his time working there, Rhun’a developed an interest in how Ul'dahn gladiators fight. He has always searched for a way to fight and protect at the same time. Thus he started learning how to wield a sword and shield by himself whenever he got free time. Borrowing the unused wooden sword and shield at The Coliseum's warehouse, he watched the gladiators and practiced the skills they use during tournaments on striking dummies.
A Match Made in the Seventh Hell
One day when Rhun'a was on cleaning duty during a match at The Coliseum, an infamous gladiator beat his opponent easily. The gladiator thought it wasn’t fun because it was too easy for him, so he wanted to fight more. The crowd of spectators cheered loud, eager to see the gladiator knock someone else down. So they demanded The Coliseum's managers to send out a new competitor to the match.
There was no other gladiator who could be sent out for a match at that time, and so the managers were desperately searching for someone. Rhun'a's superior remembered that Rhun’a has been practicing Gladiator skills in his free time, so Rhun'a ended up getting sent out to fight at the arena. The task was nothing difficult—his superior said—he only had to lose after looking like that he put some effort in the fight. However, Rhun’a didn’t like being sent out to lose. His competitive spirit made him give his all. Throughout the fight, Rhun'a realized that the infamous gladiator wasn't that strong after all, and so Rhun’a won the match without breaking a sweat. Later on, Rhun'a found out that the infamous gladiator was playing dirty by paying or coercing his opponents to deliberately lose in order to gain popularity.Woes and Throes of A Gladiator
After the unexpected victory, all of a sudden Rhun’a got hailed as the rising star of The Coliseum. The Gladiators’ Guild took notice of this, and Mylla—the guildmaster—invited Rhun'a to join in order to train him properly as a Gladiator. Rhun’a took the offer, and so he started fighting in the Coliseum as a means to make more fortune. However, it did not last all that long, due to the infamous gladiator that Rhun’a have beaten last time wanted to take revenge on him because his popularity plummeted to the ground. The guy started to sabotage Rhun’a’s fights in the arena, even went so far to send an assassin to kill him. Despite being unable to sleep peacefully at night, Rhun’a managed to fend off the attacks directed at him. Although his fights at The Coliseum got much more demanding over time, Rhun'a managed to win his fights despite how difficult everything is. He can't lose, he absolutely can't, because the moment he shows his weakness, is going to be the moment his life ends. Everything that has happened made Rhun'a sorely exhausted.
Serving the Sultana
Rhun'a expressed his concerns to the Guildmaster Mylla, and she helped Rhun'a find solution to that problem. Continuing to fight in The Coliseum appeared to be impossible for Rhun'a, due to the constant stalking and murder attempts. Mylla then announced to the public that Rhun'a—the Coliseum's rising star—would cease his activities in The Coliseum until an unspecified time. The announcement made Rhun'a's loyal fans disappointed, one of which including the Sultana Nanamo Ul Namo, whom apparently liked watching his fights and would oftentimes sneak away in disguise from the palace to watch Rhun'a. She personally wanted Rhun'a to work for her. The Sultana pulled some strings, and through Guildmaster Mylla, Rhun'a received an invitation to become a Sultansworn.
Honored by the invitation and a chance to make a better living for his family in Gridania, Rhun'a accepted the invitation. He underwent a series of training and trial until he was finally knighted as the Sultana's most honorable and personal bodyguards, the Sultansworn. The Sultana was most pleased because Rhun'a was exactly what she wanted, with his righteous attitude and his willingness to right the wrongs. Ever since Rhun'a became a Sultansworn, the stalking and murder attempts ceased to be. Thus Rhun'a continued serving the Sultana and Ul'dah, going on confidential missions, protecting the Sultana at all costs, guarding the palace, working together with the Immortal Flames every once in a while, and many more responsibilities. Rhun'a was also able to make a decent living for his family, sending money to them every so often.A Flame of Desire
Eventually, Rhun'a got quite close to a female sergeant of the Immortal Flames after working with her for a while. Her name is U'tajha, a cheerful yet feisty woman from Forgotten Springs. After some time of pursuing, and spending a romantic night together, Rhun'a asked Tajha to be his girlfriend, and Tajha happily accepted it. They were very close, almost always seen together, doing missions alongside each other, protecting each other's backs. They went on dates, lived together, and many more. Tajha was a lover, a confidant, a stalwart companion to Rhun'a, until she's not.

OOC

Hello! I'm Rhun'a's parent.
Thank you so much for checking out my most beloved OC's profile and lore.

I'm a 21+ MMORPG roleplayer hailing from GMT+7. I have been RPing for 5+ years in Final Fantasy XIV, but aside from MMORPG RP I'm pretty much a newcomer in the general RP world. I might be a bit slow, but I try my best to be thoughtful in my RPs.Hooks:
The Call of Duty: Perhaps the city that we reside in is attacked by monsters. Or that a person in distress is needing to be saved. Rhun'a's ex-Sultansworn soul would not let his sword and shield go to waste. He would rush headlong into battle in order to save the civilians.
Soul of the Traveler: Rhun'a loves the outdoors and enjoys going on trips alongside his family. Perhaps striking a conversation about places you've been to or lived in would tickle his traveling spirit. Or perhaps an accidental meeting somewhere during a trip or an adventure.Nightlife Enjoyer: Clubs and bars are places that Rhun'a frequents, usually together with his husband. Perhaps sitting close, with a drink or two could start a nice friendly conversation.
